Occult Workshop Series #1: The Many Faces of Scrying ✧ 神秘學工作坊 #1：靈視的多個面向

Scrying is widely practiced by magicians, witches, sorcerers and cunning ones. Considered a basis for all magical practices, this is used to diagnose what, when，why or whether anything is happening to a person, an object or a place, before proceeding to the next step to finding out a solution. This is a common method used by folk magic practitioners.

Historical manuscripts from the Elizabethan period like MS36674 by Humphrey Gilbert and John Davis, the angelic conversations by John Dee and Edward Kelley, as well as MSS The Crystal by Frederick Hockley are examples of scrying with other spiritual entities.

To scry is to “see” - with all your available senses. In this workshop you will learn about different methods of scrying employed in various practices, from trolldom to Wiccan to Ceremonial Magic. Also included are the history of practice, tools to use, practicality in modern days and ethics. This is an introductory course with practice sessions to understand how it works.

The class will be co-taught by me and Paul from Raven White Botanica. Students will have the rare opportunity to ask questions and have perspectives shared by two experienced professional workers in the field. We will guide you through all the steps and offer support during and after the process.

靈視是魔法師、女巫、術士和智者常用的法術，所有魔法的基礎，通常用作判斷。到底一個人、一件物件或者一個空間是怎樣的狀態，有沒有什麼發生了，什至乎是為何發生；之後才到下一個步驟去找出解方，是民間魔法的一般用途。

而在眾多歷史文本當中，有不少是與靈體對話的記錄，譬如英國伊莉沙伯時期的 Humphrey Gilbert和 John Davis的手稿MS36674，John Dee和 Edward Kelley與天使的對話，Frederick Hockley 的手稿MSS The Crystal 等，都是使用靈視去溝通。

靈視即「觀」，是以所有的感觀去覺知。

在這個單元工作坊中，你會學習到不同的魔法系統中使用靈視的方法：由北歐巫術、英國威卡以至古典魔法，內容包括：歷史儀軌、工具、當代的運用和技巧等都會講述。這是一個著重於讓學員有初步理解和得到練習機會的入門課程。

是次將會由我和Raven White Botanica 的Paul 共同授課，課程中我們會輸流講解，帶領和支援整個學習過程。學員們會獲得向兩位擁有豐富經驗的職業巫師發問的寶貴機會，若希望往魔法的道路繼續學習，課程過後也會有後續支持。
